Boston...aka "Bahston"

Dal and I took off for a few days to spend in Boston. I wasn't too sure that I was going to like Boston, but after we got there and I saw what an amazing place it is, I had the best time.

I have posted other really great Boston pictures on my photography blog (like Paul Revere's grave, Cheers Bar, etc..) ...so check those out too

I'm not a history buff at all, but this city has so much American history to it, that it gave me chills just walking up and down the streets. It did help having a history teacher with me to explain a few things though ;) As funny as we thought the Bostonians talked, they thought we talked just as strange...one lady told me I sounded just like Britney Spears :( If you ever go to Boston, I highly recommend the DUCK tours, seeing a Red Sox game (and eating at UBurger across the street from the stadium) and taking the subway as much as possible...public transportation is awesome!!

Harvard....I would have gotten more pictures of the Harvard campus but it was pouring down raining!

The Cheers Bar (there is another really great picture of Cheers on my photo blog)....I just had to get a beer at Cheers of course :)

"NORM!!!!!!!"

Is that Dal Davis or Brad Pitt!?!? He just loves posing for the camera ;) I know we had to look like idiots taking these pictures!

The Old State House...I was standing exactly where the Boston Massacre occurred when taking this picture.

The Market....Dal bought an orange for just 10 cents....they also sold 10 bananas for $1.00 and I promise it was the freshest fruit I've ever seen!!

Last but certainly not least...we had to see a Red Sox game!! We had AMAZING seats. Just walking around Fenway gave me chills too...."Bahston" fans are so dedicated to their team and being in the oldest MLB park in the U.S. was awesome.

Please excuse the shakiness of this video....this is what happens when you are dancing and trying to video at the same time! Oh..also, I'm tone deaf....so consider yourself warned!!!!!

Of all teams we had to see them play, it had to be the Braves (blah!) but I did get to see my nickname sake...Glenn Hubbard!!!!!!!

Gatlinburg

We left for Gatlinburg on Monday with my parents...we had so much fun!!

First stop was Ripley's Aquarium....if you have a chance to visit this aquarium, definitely do it!!! It is really great!! Cole loved it as much as we did :)

And for my friend Sara Katherine who just LOVES sharks (haha!)....I have posted a video of some sharks...up close and personal!

The next stop was Dixie Stampede...going to this show is a MUST for me if I'm in Gatlinburg!!! Cole did pet the horse...he also kept calling it Abee!!!

Doing a little miniature golf too!! Cole had to help out mommy and daddy with getting our hole in one ;)

Last stop was Dollywood....this is where Dal and I realized that we just can't handle those roller coasters like we used to!!! We both complained of backaches and headaches when we got off!! We sounded like old farts compliaining that "they just shouldn't make those things so jerky"...haha!!!

11 months old!

Today our little boy turns 11 months old. Time has FLOWN by! He is loving having both mommy and daddy home with him. He is really close to walking but not quite ready to let go of my finger just yet. He also has a mind of his own and can really pour on the tears and quickly shut them off when he wants to :) Cole is a very happy boy too (despite the pictures below).

We took him for his 2nd haircut yesterday. The 1st haircut didn't go so well and the poor barber couldn't really take as much off as he needed. So we thought round two would go better....think again!!! His hair does look MUCH better now and the barber did a great job at getting what needed to be cut, despite Cole's tears :)

"Wait, I've been here before....I'm not too sure about this!!!!"

"Stop the madness!!!!!"

All finished and flirting with the lady that just walked in the door :)

Get a BLOG BOOK!

I saw this on my friend Angela's blog. She ordered a book of a compilation of all her blog posts!!! How awesome is that! You can get a hard cover book with pictures, posts, and even the comments that people left! Dal was always teasing me about my blogging until I explained that I don't scrapbook so blogging is my version of scrapbooking!! Now to know that I can actually put my posts into an actual book is so exciting!!! I am going to wait til Cole turns one year old and do a compilation of posts from when we got pregnant to his first b'day :)

Here is the site to create your book.

In other news, I am so happy to have Dal home this summer. He is finished with school, ball and everything else so we can just enjoy being a family. I had a small career change today. My Realtysouth Vestavia office is closing so I had to find a new office. I am now apart of the Realtysouth Over the Mountain office. Everyone in this office seems really nice so I'm excited to be joining their office.
My photography business is going really great too. I am booking several sessions during the summer and I'm expecting to have a home studio finished by the Fall. I'm really excited that I'll get to offer studio sittings!!!

I have no pictures to post right now, but will sit down to post some soon!!!

Playing in the pool

We got Cole's new pool out yesterday and he LOVED it. Like most babies, he just loves water. I think I spent half the time telling him "no no" because he just insisted on standing up. He finally slipped and fell (no worries, I was there to catch him). I thought the fall would scare him enough to make him not stand up again, but I was WRONG!

This child is so accident pronged....he is constantly looking around to see what he can get into next and new ways to get a bump, cut, or bruise!

Whoa...lots of catching up to do!!!!

A lot has gone on since my last post.

Dal got his Coach of the Year award, Cole got his first pair of tenny shoes (New Balance of course!) and his first hair cut. We also made a trip to the zoo and celebrated Dal's 35th birthday among several things too. I have posted as much as I can in the little time that I have to actually sit down and type this!! I am in the process of planning Cole's first b'day party too!! Cole is really close to walking on his own, he says Da, Agee (which is suppose to be Abee), and mama. Well he says mama allll the time and when he wants something, he will say it in a very whiney voice because he knows that's one way to get what he wants!....yes, I'm a sucker!!! I have several other pictures posted below! We are looking forward to going to Boston soon (just Dal and me) as well as all three of us going to Gatlinburg with my parents! I hope everyone is having a great week!

SEC Baseball

Dal, Amanda, Cole and I went to a SEC baseball game. The plans were to go watch Bama but seeing that they lost their first two games, we didn't get over there in time to see them play! We still had fun though!!!!

Daddy's Little Helper

Poor Cole is already having to learn how to cut grass....a glimpse into his future I guess!!

Cole's first haircut...

Cole had his first haircut last week....I think the pictures clearly explain how the experience went! He was NOT happy and although it looks like he is being tortured in the first picture, he's not...we only had to hold his head like this for a minute. He looks like a big boy now though!!

Cole's first and second trip to the zoo....

We first went to the zoo a couple of months ago with Cole's buddy, John Thomas and Mrs. Lynn. We had lots of fun and it was HOT that day!

Then, Dal and I took Cole back to the zoo last week...there was an overcast and breeze. It was the perfect day for a family outing!
