Cole's first trip to church

I was very nervous about taking Cole to church for the first time. We go to Shannon First Baptist (Coach Hannah's church for all you Grovers who know him) and the church is small. You can hear a pin drop, so a crying baby could get very disturbing. Cole did GREAT! He was alert and happy during the singing and when Coach Hannah started preaching, he whined a little. I took him out and he went right to sleep so I was able to go back in with him and listen to the rest of the sermon.

#2 in the AP Poll!!!

If there was ever a time to be a proud Bama fan, it is right now!!! We FINALLY have a coach that knows how to WIN!! I wish Saban was the coach while I went to UA, but better late than never. Hopefully I'll make it to a game soon to see old friends and see the Tide win another game!!!! ROLL TIDE!!

My happy baby is back!

Lil flirt!!!

My momma just cracks me up!

Between Cole, Dal, and me being sick, the last 2 weeks have been pretty rough. Cole is feeling better now and is back to being a happy baby. I still can't believe my baby is over 2 months old....the time has FLOWN by! At Cole's 2 month checkup he weighed 10lbs 3oz and is 22 3/4 inches long.

Our First Trip to Children's E.R.

It was been a whirl wind of a week! To start, I've had an upper respiratory infection all week long. Well Thursday night we noticed that Cole had a fever. Dal called the Dr.'s answering service and the nurse said to take him to Children's Hospital asap.

Once we got to Children's the Dr. explained that they take fevers VERY seriously for infants only 8 weeks old and haven't had their immunization shots. Poor Cole had to undergo a catheter, an iv, and even a spinal tap. They wanted to make sure he didn't have a viral or bacterial infection or meningitis. Thankfully he didn't, so it turns out that he probably caught what I had all week long. I hate that he had to go through all that, but I'm thankful for the outcome. Now we are dealing with a very fussy baby...it's obvious he doesn't feel good. I just hope my little boy gets to feeling better soon!

On a different note, please keep my brother, Brent, in your prayers. He lives in Houston and is dealing with the wrath of Ike. Houston was NOT under a mandatory evacuation and Brent said there was no way to evacuate because of all people that were ordered to leave from the Galvestan area, etc. He just bought a beautiful townhome (he had not even moved in yet) and it had some damage. It will be a long road for lots of Texans.

Somethig to smile about!

As of last Friday our little boy weighed 9lbs 5oz!!!!! He gained OVER a pound in just one week! The Dr. and nurse just couldn't believe it. He moved from being in the 15th percentile to the 40th percentile!! It seems that Baby Cole is well on his way! YEA!!!

Rebel Football!

Cole went to his first VHHS Rebel football game last Thursday! Dal's 7th grade team won their first game of the season.
